About Lab Diamonds

What is a lab-grown diamond? Are they real diamonds?

Yes, absolutely! Lab-grown diamonds are real diamonds in every chemical, physical, and optical sense. They are created in a controlled laboratory environment using advanced technology that replicates the natural diamond growth process (High-Pressure High-Temperature - HPHT or Chemical Vapor Deposition - CVD). The only difference is their origin – above ground rather than below.

How do lab-grown diamonds compare to mined diamonds?

Lab-grown diamonds are identical to mined diamonds in their composition and properties. They exhibit the same brilliance, fire, and sparkle. The key differences lie in their origin, their significantly lower environmental impact, and their more accessible price point.

Are lab-grown diamonds ethical and sustainable?

Yes. Lab-grown diamonds are inherently ethical and sustainable. Their creation avoids the environmental disruption and social concerns associated with traditional mining. At Yoona, we are proud to offer 100% conflict-free lab-grown diamonds.

Do lab-grown diamonds come with certifications?

Yes. Just like natural diamonds, all Yoona lab-grown diamonds are independently certified by reputable gemological laboratories such as the International Gemological Institute (IGI). This certificate provides a detailed grading report on the diamond's 4 C's (Carat, Cut, Color, Clarity) and other characteristics, ensuring transparency and authenticity.

Will my lab-grown diamond be laser inscribed?

Many lab-grown diamonds, especially those 0.50 carat and above, are laser inscribed on the girdle with a unique serial number and the words "LAB GROWN" or "LG" for identification. This inscription is microscopic and typically not visible to the naked eye.

How do I find my ring size?

We offer a complimentary ring sizer kit that can be mailed to you. For the most accurate measurement, we always recommend visiting a local jeweler. Remember that finger size can fluctuate throughout the day and with temperature changes.

Can I customize a design?

At this time, our focus is on providing a curated collection of exquisite designs. We do not offer full custom design services. However, if you have specific requests for an existing design (e.g., different metal type if not listed), please contact our customer service team to discuss possibilities.

Do you offer financing options?

Yes, we partner with reputable financing providers to offer flexible payment options. Details on available financing plans can be found on our Financing page or during checkout.

Is sales tax applied to my order?

Sales tax is applied based on the shipping address and the applicable laws in that state or region. The exact sales tax will be calculated and displayed during the checkout process.

How can I change or cancel my order?

If you need to change or cancel an order, please contact our Customer Service team as soon as possible. We will do our best to accommodate your request, but please note that changes or cancellations may not be possible once an order has entered the production or shipping phase.

How is my order shipped? Is it insured?

All Yoona orders are shipped fully insured for your peace of mind. Your package will arrive in discreet, non-branded packaging to ensure security. Inside, you'll find our elegantly branded and designed Yoona packaging, perfect for gifting or personal storage.

Is a signature required for delivery?

Yes, for your security, all Yoona orders require an adult signature upon delivery. This policy helps protect your valuable purchase from theft or misdelivery. Please ensure someone 18 years or older is available to sign for the package.

What if my package is lost or damaged during transit?

In the rare event that your Yoona package is lost or damaged while in transit, please contact our Customer Service team immediately. We will work directly with the shipping carrier to investigate and resolve the issue. Yoona is responsible for the package until it is successfully signed for at your designated delivery address.

Do you offer international shipping?

At this time, Yoona primarily ships within the United States. Please contact our Customer Service team for any inquiries regarding international shipping, as customs duties and taxes may apply and are the responsibility of the customer.

How long will it take to receive my order?

Most of our jewelry pieces are made to order, ensuring exceptional craftsmanship. Production times vary by item but generally within 2 weeks of receiving order. Once crafted, your item will be shipped via a major carrier (Overnight, 2-Day, or Ground, depending on your selection and location). You will receive a tracking number via email once your order ships.

What is your return policy?

Are returns and exchanges free?

Yes, we offer free, insured return shipping for all eligible returns and exchanges for our Yoona Circle members. We will provide a pre-paid return label if it’s within the stated timeframe.

What items are non-returnable or non-exchangeable?

Certain designs (eternity and some pave bands), personalized or custom items, such as engraved items (with some exceptions for a fee), custom or made-to-order pieces, gift cards, and items altered by a third-party jeweler are generally non-returnable. Please refer to our Return & Exchange Policy for a detailed list.

What happens if I return an item without its diamond certificate?

If the original laboratory grading report (diamond certificate) is not returned with your item, a $250 replacement fee will be deducted from your refund.

Warranty & Care

Does my Yoona jewelry come with a warranty?

Yes, all Yoona jewelry (over $1,000) is covered by our Lifetime Warranty against manufacturing defects. This warranty covers issues arising from faulty materials or craftsmanship.

What does your warranty not cover?

Our warranty does not cover damage due to normal wear and tear, product loss, theft, or damage caused by improper use, accident, or alterations made by a jeweler other than Yoona. Examples include bent prongs from impact, lost stones due to worn prongs, or discoloration from chemical exposure.

How often should I have my jewelry cleaned and inspected?

We highly recommend having your Yoona diamond jewelry professionally cleaned and inspected every six months. This helps maintain its brilliance and allows us to identify any potential issues with settings or prongs before they become significant.

Is the cleaning and inspection service free?

This service is complimentary for the original owner who is a part of our Yoona Circle Loyalty Program. Simply contact our customer service team to arrange for shipping. Please note that shipping and insurance fees may apply.

What is your ring resizing policy?

We offer one complimentary ring resizing for engagement rings and wedding bands within 90 days of the delivery date, which includes free, insured shipping. Certain ring styles (e.g., eternity bands, some pave bands) cannot be resized. Please refer to our Ring Resizing Policy for full details.

Can I have my ring resized by another jeweler?

We strongly advise against having your Yoona jewelry resized or altered by any jeweler other than Yoona, as this will void your warranty.

How do I care for my Yoona jewelry?

To keep your jewelry sparkling, avoid wearing it during strenuous activities, swimming, or when applying lotions, perfumes, or harsh chemicals. Clean it gently with mild soap and warm water using a soft brush, and store it in its original box or a soft pouch when not in use. Regular professional cleaning and inspection are also recommended.

Do you have a diamond upgrade program?

Yes! Yoona offers a Lifetime Diamond Upgrade Program. You will receive 100% of the original purchase price of your Yoona lab-grown diamond towards the purchase of a new lab-grown diamond that is at least two times greater in value. Do you provide appraisals for insurance?

Upon request, we can provide a complimentary appraisal for your Yoona diamond jewelry. We highly recommend insuring your fine jewelry through a specialized jewelry insurance provider or as a rider on your homeowner's/renter's insurance policy to protect against loss, theft, or damage not covered by our warranty.
