In the summer of 2018, I spent months researching engagement rings. Late nights, dozens of websites, teaching myself the difference between clarity grades and cut quality, because I was terrified of getting it wrong. I eventually found a jeweler who cut through all of it. He sat with me, listened, and helped me design exactly the right ring.
Weeks later, I had the perfect proposal on a beach in Malibu. She said "yes" and changed my life. But it turned out that wasn't the last "yes", that I'd be a part of.
After that, friends started coming to me for help with their own ring search, overwhelmed by the same process I'd just been through. It got me thinking about how many other guys were stuck exactly where I'd been. Having someone in my corner who genuinely cared and knew what they were doing had made all the difference. I never forgot that feeling, and I wanted to carry it forward to others.
So I went deeper, learning everything about jewelry I could and reached out to the same jeweler who'd helped me. He's now my business partner. Together, we built Yoona, so no one has to go through this process alone.
